In reference to R.R. there used to be a big potrait of him in Whitechapel library - until, that is, they closed the library(ies) in Newham to create Dome-tastic 'Information Centres'. Fuck knows where that portrait is now.
Ahem, the Whitechapel library is in Tower Hamlets, not Newham, and the name was changed to Idea Centres not Information Centres

As martinh points out on the previous page they are called "Idea Stores" smile Responsibility for Rocker's portrait (and all the other paintings and local history records held by Tower Hamlets) was passed to the Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archives in Bancroft Road. No idea if it's on permanent display - a reproduction is hidden in plain sight on the BBC website.

Was just wondering the same thing - but can't see one anywhere. lurdan wrote:

For anyone interested that BBC website is now defunct but the portrait of Rudolf Rocker which is in the Tower Hamlets Archives, painted by his son Fermin Rocker is still online.

That picture used to be on the staircase in Whitechapel library. After they renovated the building and extended the art gallery, I asked the staff what happened to the Rocker painting. No one knew anything. Good to know it's in Bancroft Road now.
